Getting to Sapa

 

We recommend taking the overnight train or sleeper bus to Sapa from Hanoi. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you travel by bus. For overnight train,  the cabins are air-conditioned and have beds, so you can get a good night’s sleep before you start your trek.

By Plane

While the Sapa airport is being constructed at the moment the most accessible ways to Sapa is by train and bus. 

 

By train

Departing from Hanoi Train Station, Sapa train arrives to Lao Cai station after 6 hour ride, then the 45-min private transfer or bus will take you to Sapa town where most hotels are located.

 

By Bus

This is the most convenient way to travel to Sapa. Overnight buses or share limousines depart from Hanoi Old quarter with frequent schedule giving you more choices of departure time. The 6-hour journey will take you see the most scenic view along Hanoi – Lao Cai express way.
